Enjoy the Outdoors During the Day 

Jetton Park

If you’re missing the beach this spring break, check out Jetton Park where the beach can be found in Charlotte. Plan a day to play football in the park with your friends and eat hotdogs and hamburgers off the grill at the Beach at Jetton Park. Jetton Park lies in the center of town and gives spring breakers the perfect spot to get that golden tan. Entry is free on weekdays and on weekends parking is only $3, so stop by and get your beach picture from this years spring break any day of the week.

White Water Rafting

If you’re looking for more action in your day, go to the US National Whitewater Center and spend $60 on a day pass to go white water rafting, kayaking, zip lining or rock-climbing. Also, try out their new ropes course and see the beauty of nature from 20 ft above the ground. But don’t be nervous if these outdoor activities aren’t your specialty, they have climbing areas and ropes courses for all different levels of expertise. The hardest, if you’re a daredevil is the Canyon Spur and the River Course because of their challenging traverses and elements to navigate above land and water. Perfect for some spring break in Charlotte fun! 

Carowinds

If you're looking to do something outrageous during Spring Break, head to Carowinds for a thrill! There's no way you can get bored at the 105 acre Paramount's Carowinds, whatever age group you belong to. This amusement park has it all, from 60 rides like Nickelodeon Central and Vortex, to events and live shows. Also part of the Carowinds is the Boomerang Bay Waterpark Resort and the famous "Scarowinds" event.

Nightlife When the Sun Goes Down 

Howl at the Moon Charlotte

If you’re looking for a wild nightlife scene, Charlotte will provide you with an array of options. Quite arguably the most popular bar in Charlotte is Howl at the Moon. They’re known for their buckets which are 86-oz buckets of any alcoholic concoction you could think of. Some of their most popular buckets are the Hurricane, the Adios Mofo, and the Fruit Roll-Up but the fan favorite is the Howlin Punch. Howlin Punch has Tito's Handmade Vodka, Finest Call watermelon, pineapple, lemon-lime and grenadine in it. This is a great spot to get a good buzz for cheap. Perfect for Spring Breakers!

The Tin Roof

The Tin Roof is another quirky joint in Downtown Charlotte that has UNC students packed onto the dance floor every night of the week. And though it’s known for its crazy atmosphere and lively weekend scene, the food has a great reputation as well. Try the Candy Pig mac and cheese that’s made of elbow pasta, brown sugar bacon, jalapeno queso, aged cheddar, herb breadcrumbs, and scallions.

8.2.0. Bar and Restaurant

For a similar vibe, check out the 8.2.0 Bar and Restaurant for a more trendy and upscale night out. Because of its proximity to the Fillmore, it's more of a pre-game to the concert next door kind of spot. Find an energetic crowd of people from all different age groups probably waiting for their turn on the karaoke stage. Some of the most popular food items are their cauliflower buffalo chicken pizza and their homemade meatballs covered in vodka sauce. Good eats and nightlife fun for spring break in Charlotte! 

The Fillmore

The Fillmore is a famous space that holds concerts for just about everybody throughout the month of March. But Spring Breakers rejoice! There are a few concerts especially for you with reasonable prices, $25-30 per ticket.

The RoxBury

If you and your friends are looking to go clubbing in Charlotte for Spring Break stop by the RoxBury for a wild night out with friends. Though it’s only open on Friday and Saturday nights, the RoxBury always holds a crowd by midnight. There is a cover, but it’s never more than $10. Known for their throwback music and 80/90s decor, they have a reputation for fairly priced drinks and a guaranteed good time!

Spring Break in Charlotte is going to be a mix of day fun at one of the area parks and a different nightclub every night of the week!
