About North Charlotte

The metropolitan area within and surrounding the city of Charlotte also includes Metro Charlotte, Metrolina and Charlotte USA. The Charlotte metropolitan area is located in the plateau between the coastal plain and the Appalachian Mountains, and is famous for its auto racing history, particularly NASCAR. It second only to New York in banking and finance and is the largest manufacturing region in North and South Carolina. The Eastland Mall is located in the eponymous area of Charlotte, North Carolina. At the time of its opening, in 1975, there were no malls in North Carolina bigger than the Eastland Mall. Belk, Iveys and J.C Penney were its three main stores and they were joined by a Sears store four years later. At present, only Burlington Coat Factory and half of the former J.C. Penney is there, while the rest of the major store lots are vacant. The mall is the property of Glimcher Realty Trust and the City of Charlotte, however, one of its owners: Glimcher is interested in putting the mall into receivership due to heavy debt. Though the shopping in North Charlotte may leave something to be desired, there is a lot of beautiful real estate available in North Charlotte. In order to maintain a beautiful property in North Charlotte, you might want to take a few precautions though.
