UNC Charlotte Center City

Description

The UNC Charlotte Center City will function as a gateway to the entire University of North Carolina at Charlotte and as such will embody UNC Charlotte's urban identity in the heart of the greater Charlotte region. Architecturally, it will reflect its mission as a premier institution of higher education; its context in this vibrant, rapidly urbanizing area; and its commitment to environmental sustainability. Academically, UNC Charlotte Center City will facilitate programs having an urban awareness and context, while providing vital learning opportunities for employees and residents of the urban center. Operationally, it will incorporate the attributes we wish to instill in the entire university: excellence in programming, responsiveness to stakeholders, entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary productivity, inclusively, flexibility, and efficiency.
