Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Child Nutrition Services

Description

Child Nutrition provides healthy meals to more than 130,000 students and staff members in 167 schools each day. Each day 32,000 breakfasts and 72,000 lunches are served to children. This totals more than 20 million meals in a year. In addition, snacks are prepared for all After School Enrichment Programs. Catering for school-related functions and special events is also provided. The Child Nutrition Department totals 1,400 employees including an executive director, director of operations, area supervisors, dietitians, administrative support staff, cafeteria managers and workers.
