Babalu Tapas & Tacos opened its doors in the historic Dilworth neighborhood in July 2016 making this location our first step into the North Carolina dining scene. Babalu is excited to be an addition to what was the first streetcar suburb of historic Charlotte. Once an original historic house that has seen a number of restaurants over the years, Babalu recreated a fresh take on an established local hot spot. Much of the structure had to be rebuilt but we stayed true to the original home's front porch which is now an open air bar and dining area with wall to wall operable windows on each side. Our 365 day patio with bar and lounge seating brings a lot of energy to the sidewalks of East Boulevard. Parking woes will be alleviated with our daily valet program, so don't fret about spending 20 minutes of your lunch break searching for that perfect spot. We want you to spend as much time with us as you can. Babalu looks forward to welcoming the Queen City and Dilworth residents to our newest Guac on the Block.
