Description
CCSC provides Workforce Development training and job placement assistance in the food service industry for at risk adults who face challenges in gaining and retaining long-term successful employment. Our program provides systemic solutions to achieve social and economic objectives - breaking the cycle of hunger and poverty while increasing upward mobility of disadvantaged groups. Students come to the CCSC through a variety of means: from word-of-mouth exposure by previous graduates; from community outreach conducted by the CCSC; from social service agencies; job search centers and the judicial system, who may be working with potential students. Our students give back by feeding the community's hungry and continue to support each other through an alumni association.
All potential students must meet the criteria for acceptance and must exhibit a willingness to better their lives.
